David Alexandre Walz is a multi-disciplinary animation director and fine artist, originally from France, now living in Jerusalem with his beloved wife.
David started drawing and painting at an early age. He received a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Film & TV Directing at the International Film School of Paris EICAR. Upon graduation, he directed and produced "The Crossing", a hybrid experimental short film reflecting his passion for both fine arts and sequential art, which went on to tour at several festivals throughout the United States and France.
He has since worked on a variety of projects for clients all around the world as an animator, storyboard artist, editor, and colorist. He also worked as a motion designer at the H5 Studio in Paris on commercials and corporate videos for Dior, Guerlain, Lacoste, and Hermès.
He recently produced a series of illustrations and animations for a video project entitled "EAGLE", presented at the United Nations Climate Change Conference COP 22, as well as traditional hand-drawn animations and 3D designs for a feature film project about "Monsieur Chouchani", an enigmatic Master of the Jewish Tradition, who taught and influenced some of the most renown thinkers of the 20th century.
